  1. How do I know which ecommerce software to choose?
      
    There are a great many factors that must be considered prior to choosing an ecommerce solution.  Things to think about:

    a. How many products do you have?  Do they have options such as size, color, style, etc?  Do you need to upsell (i.e. show customers other related products for consideration)? 
    b. Do you need to track inventory?  Do you want to use online "coupons"?  Will you be setting up affiliate programs?
    c. Do you have a standard "brick and mortar" store or are you setting up shop exclusively online?
    d. Are you going to need to get more than the standard (billing and shipping) information from customers?
    e. Are your products downloadable?

  2. Do I have to use software you offer?

  3. How do I install my PDG ecommerce software?
       
    PDG Software makes full installation documentation available for each of their products.  Visit www.pdgsoft.com to download the documentation.  You can also request that PDG Software perform the installation for you.

  4. Can I accept credit cards on my site?  Will it be secure?
     

    In order to accept credit cards, you'll need to acquire a merchant account and gateway service.  Some of your available options are www.Authorize.net, www.Charge.com, and www.CardService.com.  To make your site secure, you'll need an SSL security certificate.  We offer FREE SSL certificates with the purchase of GeoTrust TrueSite service.  For more information please click here.

  5. I forgot my Miva password, what should I do?
     
    To protect the security of your Miva Merchant online store, Miva Corporation does not have any access to passwords for the many installations of Miva Merchant. Your username and password are created when you initially setup Miva Merchant on your domain. The password is encrypted and stored in a database on the server. To "RESET" the password with only the Miva Merchant software that we provide, you would have to reinstall and start from scratch.
